Patrick Soetens is a seasoned financial services executive, startup advisor, angel investor and entrepreneur with a global perspective.
He began his career in Brussels and Dublin managing multi-billion portfolios in financial markets and portfolio management. In 2003, he relocated to Cyprus, where he joined the Cyprus subsidiary of the Austrian bank Kommunalkredit and as a Board Member in 2005. In this role he oversaw financial markets, treasury operations and funding strategies.
In 2008, Patrick moved to Switzerland to become CEO of the newly established Swiss subsidiary of Keytrade Bank, Belgium's market leader in online trading and investments. Under his management, the Swiss entity flourished into a highly valuable entity in a competitive and multilingual environment until its sale to a French banking group in 2016.
He then founded his own boutique consultancy firm Finwise specialising in advising startups and facilitating fundraising efforts. Recently, he launched an angel syndicate in partnership with a Belgian solo Venture Capitalist.
Now back in his beloved Cyprus and based in Paphos, Patrick continues to pursue entrepreneurial ventures while actively engaging in real estate investments across multiple countries.
